Attendance and Punctuality
- Good attendance is encouraged and rewarded in our incentive schemes
- Attendance and punctuality are the responsibility of parents/guardians at infant level. Some responsibility may be transferred to senior pupils .
- Breakfast is provided from 8.15am-8.45am to all pupils who present.
- Everybody working in or attending the school is required to attend regularly and on time. Pupils are supervised from 8.40am. They are then accompanied to class by their teachers.
- Where absence or late coming are unavoidable, parents/guardians should communicate with the teacher by note. All absences are recorded.
- Permission to leave the school before end of classes will only be granted on receipt of a note from parents/guardians or when the pupil is collected by a responsible adult. Records of absences and the reasons supplied are kept.
- Irregular attendance and truancy will be reported to the appropriate authority under the terms of the Child Welfare Act 2000.
