Hello Readers!!!
We're back to inform you that we have been busy in the classroom learning many things.
We are learning about a different shape as the weeks go by (check out our art work on our display boards and walls!)
We can make shapes!
Circle week: Amongst other things, we learned how to sing The Cindy Circle Song and took home the lyrics on the homework colouring page.
We also got 'round' to making a collage using different sized circles.
We are also very fortunate to be learning songs and rhymes through sign language-( re ISL(Irish Sign Language) for children).
Please ask your child about the Homework Sheets that are given on Fridays as they are related to the weekly learning in the classroom.
The children love bringing these pages home as they are aware that they represent the songs and rhymes that they are learning in class!
The Homework Sheets are for home use and we hope that they keep parents and guardians in touch with what is going on in the classroom!!

We aim to keep parents regularly involved with the Early Start Programme through initiatives such as Talks for Parents through Home School Liaison, The Parents Lending Library for Early Start and Volunteers for other upcoming activities or outings. Don't forget: We welcome volunteers to come in to the classroom and get involved in class based activities! Any interested parties?? Let us know in advance!!
Pancake Tuesday was flippin' fantastic in The Early Start. We went to the kitchen and mixed the batter ourselves.
We took the cooked pancakes back to our classroom and filled and rolled them with some tasty toppings before we very quickly made them disappear!!! Mmmmmmmm...........Delicious.....................
The smell of our cooking was too much for H.S.C.L. Coordinator Ms Hallahan who couldn't resist popping in to us to
sample our delicious cooked treats!!!
The empty plate speaks for itself! Sorry to all of the mammies for the mess that the chocolate created ;-)
Our survey says..... that pancakes are liked by 99% of Early Start children!
9 out of 10 Early Start children said they chose chocolate sauce as their favourite pancake topping!!!!....mmmmmmm
Please can i have some more??
